Licorice root simmered with anise is the old sweet cough pot. It coats. It also raises blood pressure in some people — this is a short-course tea, not a daily mug.

Ingredients

2 cups

  • Organic licorice root1 tsp
  • Organic anise seed½ tsp

Method

    Simmer 10–12 minutes. Strain.

    Small cups. Two or three days, then pause.
