Jojoba oil

Simmondsia chinensis

The bottle you dilute into. Stable, light, and not for the frying pan.

Jojoba is a liquid wax from a desert seed. It does not go rancid as fast as nut oils, which is why it is the default carrier in this library. It is not a cooking oil.

Kitchen & home

  • One 50 ml bottle will last a careful household a year.
  • Keep the dropper clean so water never enters the bottle.
  • It can cloud in the cold — that is normal.

Go gently

  • External use. Not a food.
  • If you react to the seed, stop.
